I listened to at least 90% of Taylor's songs when they first came out and really got to know them well over the years but this one is one of the ones that I never really gave a fair chance. It's not as catchy and I wasn't ready maybe at the time for the gentle beauty of its tone and sound. I love it so much now though and it's so sweet to hear.

I never understood the meaning of this song until I listened to Taylor's version, which is funny since there's the line "you always said you didn't get this song". I get it now, and it's a beautiful song
