‘Manchala’ story is based on Shekhar who lives a very careless but enjoyable & fun loving life. Due to this life style Shekhar has left his house and stays in hostel for his advance studies as Shekhar with help of his friends tries to fool his stingy father for funds from his coffer where Shekhar’s stingy but very clever always fails his plans and one day Shekhar’s this behavior becomes his habit. One day by mistake Shekhar receives a letter from America which was for a girl named Shikha who was living in the girl’s hostel. When Shekhar opens the letter in which he finds a beautiful photograph of Nilu who’s from America who wants to be friend with Shikha. But Shekhar loses his senses and plans to play a prank for Nilu and plans to changeover as girl send that changed picture of Shekhar as Shika to America where after receiving the replied letter Nilu turns to India and meet Shekhar as Shikha. Shekhar, As Shikha starts companying her, but after few days Shekhar meets her and express his love for her. Nilu too falls for him and then their romance starts and was going to marry each other but at the same time Nilu understands the reality about Shikha and gets hurt and leaves Shekhar and returns back to America forever. Shekhar gets dishearten then his father feels mercy for him and sends him to America. Where he meets Sardar and that Sardar helps Shekhar to find Nilu. Nilu couldn’t forget the lesion which was gives by shekhar and she insults him. Nilu acts as if she loves Shekhar but gets engaged to Tony. Shekhar packs his sag to return back, but Sardar, Tony and Nilu’s father tries to get Nilu and Shekhar together.
