Eliud Kipchoge is the first person ever to run a marathon in under 2 hours. He ran a 1:59:40 in Vienna on 12th October 2019. This video explains some of the details behind this feat and the event.

Take care of your international viewers and use KM as well, miles are used in less than 20 countries worldwide, most of them tiny islands in the Pacific and the Caribbean.
Any of these pacers could have run sub-2…and in the future you will see them doing exactly this.
