OK. Let me explain. India always had the connection with music. In fact early movies were in the form of songs. And then it got reduced to 5-6 songs in a movie. Like instead of sex scenes, the songs denoted the love and romance. Now its more like a item song or club song. As per the movie demands. Many movies don't have songs too. Coming to ur point, yes movie songs and album songs mostly in similar way. Don't forget India is a mixed of many cultures. Each region differs in language and also in culture.
