3. Just gonna say it, Luisa's a much more compelling character than Mirabel. Like, Mirabel's "fine," but how many times have we seen the "misfit who has no powers and needs to embrace their value," plotline before? It feels do old at this point. Granted, I'm glad that Mirabel didn't gain a gift at the end, but still, can't help but think I'd like a movie about Luisa more.

Just after the part where she wishes she could relax and stones fall on her, you can see she lets herself fumble a bit but if Mirabel is under it with Luisa, Luisa won't fumble and hold on strong. That shows how protective she is, she feels like if she can't fulfill a chore like moving a mountain or protecting a sibling/cousin then she feels pretty much useless.
