Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

I'm crying but dancing at the same time
This song hits hard it reminds me of when I was younger and I still lived with my family
Just gonna say it, Luisa's a much more compelling character than Mirabel. Like, Mirabel's "fine," but how many times have we seen the "misfit who has no powers and needs to embrace their value," plotline before? It feels do old at this point. Granted, I'm glad that Mirabel didn't gain a gift at the end, but still, can't help but think I'd like a movie about Luisa more.
Why does no one talk about she change history by saving the titanic and getting it to new york
Ngl at 2:32 feel very relatable even tho i am the middle child in my family..
I absolutely love this song
But I draw the line at dancing donkeys (3:02)
I love Luisa, she's so strong mentally and physically
As a person who grew up in an abusive house hold this hit hard. I was always trying to protect my sisters from the abuse and I'd take beatings for them so they could live a happier life.
2ㄎㄑ
Can we talk about the dancing donkeys for a second
I have an unhealthy crush on Mirabel’s sister
Ngl the way she suddenly started singing is awkward as hell to me, like i wasnt expecting her to start singing. But the song is too good that i totally forgot about it at the end. But i do hope that they can place this song more smoothly into the story
But the lyrics is really good and im glad disney touch on this topic
im scared of luisa i dont think anything can hurt this girl
3:00 Luisa can be a great dancer
stop luisa fixing mirabels glasses is actually the cutest sibling moment i’m crying
Being the oldest sibling idk man this song just hits close to home. Always holding it together to keep everyone else from falling apart and you never want to ask for help because you can’t help others if they’re having to help you. I guess the difference is I crack when I’m alone.
Dont lie to me thats Katy Perry
Those donkeys be really triggering the uncanny valley for me
0:55 part is the best. It's an indisputable fact :))
Anyone else got that feeling of "I'll do anything for you, my queen" at the first "preassure like a drip drip drip"? No? Just me? Like, she's so gorgeous! My pansexual ass is dyinggg
Literally the best song in the movie
2:31 the transition is so cool it went from all sweet and nice to her stressing technically
100% gifted kid burnout syndrome
(hah. gifted. get it. cause she's got. her gift. yes. pun)
I've seen no one say this so I will. Just after the part where she wishes she could relax and stones fall on her, you can see she lets herself fumble a bit but if Mirabel is under it with Luisa, Luisa won't fumble and hold on strong. That shows how protective she is, she feels like if she can't fulfill a chore like moving a mountain or protecting a sibling/cousin then she feels pretty much useless.
why is no one commenting on the donkeys vibing in the background of luisa dancing? they're so funny lmao
"give it to your sister it doesn't hurt, she if she can handle every family burden watch as she buckles and bends be doesn't break"- this hit harder than it should have
I Love you
relateable
"Give it to your sister it dosent hurt and see if she can handle the family burden" that… Hurt me…
luisa, la abuela y mirabel; tres ejemplos de las fuerza de la mujer colombiana
Those donkeys have talent
im obsessed with this movie and this song, i dont think a disney movie has ever spoken to me on a personal level like this before
this is so weird.. especially the dancing donkeys
This lyrics can honestly make me cry. If you really get into the song you'll know why its so deep
This is a bomb song
If you listen carefully, you can hear the word pressure being whispered in the background throughout the entire song
that eldest daughter from a family of color feel!!!
Lol
Whole other level when the donkeys start dancing at 3:00
Then it feels more like Moana demigod song soon after
i feel bad for luisa :(, it's like luisa is tackling 50 jobs at once during the pandemic and having to watch kids. Just too much pressure :(((((
This and We Don't Talk About Bruno are my kids' favorite!
