1. To all the boys saying that this song generalizes ALL men no it doesn't!!!!! Like she said if ur offended by this song ur part of the problem! If ur wondering why "not all men" doesn't make sense let me explain it to you.. Now for example if there's a news article or a post that says someone was murdered and someone in the comment section says "not everyone" does it makes sense?! Or just imagine if the roles were reversed and there's a post that says a boy got raped ( it's just an example) and women say "not all women" does it makes sense the answer is NO!!!!! So when someone is finally talking about the abuse and sexual assault they went through saying not all men doesn't make sense…so if you have have something encouraging to say then say it but if you don't JUST STFU!!!!

2. I'm only 18 and everytime i listen to this i cry cause I'm just so tired in general!!!… I'm so tired of being scared!!! It's so sad that I'm so young and we're still living in such a sexist world!!!! Especially i live in India which is such a patriarchal society I've heard every sexist comment a normal girl shouldn't hear and it makes it even more depressing when the own women in ur families themselves support this behavior and say boys will be boys!!!! My own mother who's an educated woman and who's a nurse says stop wearing that top " THIS IS WHY GIRLS GET INTO TROUBLE SHE MEANT TO SAY THIS IS WHY GIRLS GET RAPED"( because of the way we dress but I've got cat called even when i was covered completely so who's fault is it?) and this is exactly why I'm so tired I'm so tired of asking people to just respect my choices and everytime i stand up for myself my dad says "GOD FORBID I HAVE A DAUGHTER" just because i told him I'm gonna teach her to stand up for herself!!!! If i as an 18 year girl has faced so much it's high time we realised that the world's a fucked up sexist place!!! And I've been dealing with this shit since i was 12!!!!! Yeah i was still a child and got sexualized!

3. 2 years ago, I got a man thrice or four times older than me knead my breast. I was just 12 so I didn't know what to do and just walked out of his shop. I can't forget it and sometimes feel disgusted by myself but then I remember, boys will be boys so I just continued living normally. He still talks to me when I pass by his shop and I just reply with a poker face because heck him.

8. When I was around 9, there was this boy who was like 2 years younger than me and he was sexually harassing me and my friend. He was touching our body (mostly our lady spots) in every single break in school. So the moment I got home I went to tell my mum and the next day she went to talk to his dad. And I was crying and screaming about what he did to me. My mum just went there and told "Your son was sexually harassing my daughter and her friend" and the dad was like "Oh, my son? Nah, he could never do that, your daughter must have imagined something." so my mum straight up punched the dad and then ran out of our school yard. The worst thing that he did was whispering to his after all of these " See, women are crazy, never make a mistake like marrying one". That day was the worst thing that happened in my entire life and I will never forget it.

9. Finally I see someone making songs about actual problems. This woman keeps amazing me every day as I get more immersed in her and her music. "Boys will be Boys, and girls will be women" a concept that truly scares me to this day and I can not at all believe the almost every women and every girl has went through it starting from such a young age, as they are blamed again and again for not taking care of themselves properly. They are cute little girls goddamit!

10. i remember when i was ten my stepdad would force me to do the thing with him and i hated it cause i knew it was wrong but if i ever told my mom i would get hand cuffed to a chair and i would be force to suck it im sorry im trying to keep ot safe for children but this song reminds me how I can stand up for myself and not be treated like an object

13. reading the comment section made me realise that our laws and procedures should like that islamic countries .For example one rule states that if someone were to be mistreated he/she should be executed. Laws like these will instill fear upon them and will rethink about their actions

14. I hate those people who abuses childs, women's and men's. If you had raped don't keep this as a secret. Tell everyone, shout out loud, protect yourself. 16. A few days back only i had a argument wid a boy who compared actresses so i simply said no one is prettier than each other everyone is beautiful in their own way and he literally replied wid 'some girls are hotter just get over it'
    Its funny how small words might hurt some girl
