Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

lin manuel is literally the BEST song writer you can't convince me otherwise. he's AMAZING
let's not forget that even if pepa and felix married each other in terrible weather, felix still called it a joyous day :>
We don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
We don't talk about Bruno, but
It was my wedding day (it was our wedding day)
We were getting ready, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky (no clouds allowed in the sky)
Bruno walks in with a mischievous grin (thunder)
You telling this story or am I?
I'm sorry, mi vida, go on
Bruno says, "It looks like rain" (why did he tell us?)
In doing so, he floods my brain
Abuela, get the umbrellas
Married in a hurricane
What a joyous day! But anyway
We don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
We don't talk about Bruno
Hey, grew to live in fear of Bruno stuttering or stumbling
I can always hear him sort of muttering and mumbling
I associate him with the sound of falling sand, ch ch ch
It's a heavy lift with a gift so humbling
Always left Abuela and the family fumbling
Grappling with prophecies they couldn't understand
Do you understand?
A seven-foot frame, rats along his back
When he calls your name it all fades to black
Yeah, he sees your dreams and feasts on your screams (hey)
We don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
We don't talk about Bruno
He told me my fish would die, the next day, dead (no, no)
He told me I'd grow a gut and just like he said (no, no)
He said that all my hair would disappear
Now, look at my head (no, no)
Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read
He told me that the life of my dreams
Would be promised, and someday be mine
He told me that my power would grow
Like the grapes that thrive on the vine (óye, Mariano's on his way)
He told me that the man of my dreams
Would be just out of reach
Betrothed to another
It's like I hear him, now
Hey sis, I want not a sound out of you
Um, Bruno
Yeah, about that Bruno
I really need to know about Bruno
Gimme the truth and the whole truth, Bruno
(Isabella, your boyfriend's here)
Time for dinner
A seven-foot frame, rats along his back
When he calls your name it all fades to black
Yeah, he sees your dreams and feasts on your screams
You telling this story or am I?
Óye, Mariano's on his way
Bruno says, "It looks like rain"
In doing so, he floods my brain
Married in a hurricane he's here
Don't talk about Bruno, no (why did I talk about Bruno?)
Not a word about Bruno
I never should've brought up Bruno!

ok but Camilo's voice is simply a delight
This is my favorite song in Encanto
Is it light or life
I just love how dolores' verse is the only one where that another person also sings at the same time (Isabella). That clearly shows that Dolores has told them multiple times that she can hear Bruno, but that no one listens to what she has to say.

"Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read…"
The fear of our future is indeed terrifying af and they blame it on Bruno for foretelling them… Bruno has had enough telling people, then. What a devastating sht to feel when you just wanna help but they couldn't see it that–as if he's nothing but a bearer of bad news.
he told me that the man of my dreams would just be out of reach
bethored to another
The time where all of them sings at the same time really speaks about the title "we don't talk about bruno" because they have a LOT to talk about bruno lol
i love how the chorus sings "He's here!" which is actually completely unrelated to bruno, but because of where its placed it makes it sound like bruno is right there.
i love the ending of the song
Dolores and casinos parts were the best parts
Lin Manuel Miranda is a musical genius
Is it only I or I heard someone said "Time for the end!" in the line "Time for dinner!"?

At the part where they all sang together, Dolores and Isabella sang about they're dreams and at the last they sang 'I'm fine and I'm fine' is sad 🙁
hes a time traveler
3:05 Reference to Home alone when Kevin McCallister's family's voices Echoing in Kevin's Mind.
Soooo that is why ..Silencio Bruno
Who is the guy with curly hair that sings after the girl
