Ramesh’s father, Jwala Prasad asks Ramesh to marry Sudha before he leaves for London, or he would not provide for the expenses abroad. Ramesh agrees to the marriage, but leaves for London soon after the wedding ceremony, without even seeing his wife. He meets Gupte (Johnny Walker) while traveling on a ship and becomes friends with him. He also meets Jenny (Helen) in London and is friends with her, though Jenny loves him.

Shankarnath (Ashok Kumar) finds a distraught Sudha and teacher her English, helps her learn the ways of the world, so she can find Ramesh and win his heart. Sudha then travels to London, under Shankarnath’s tutelage, and stays with his acquaintance, Mr Malhotra (Rajan Haksar). She assumes the name of Sushma, and meets Ramesh, who falls for her.

However, things are complicated when Shankarnath comes to know that Jenny is his long lost granddaughter. Does Ramesh regret his action of leaving his wife behind? How will Sudha and Ramesh come together when all the truths are revealed forms the story from then onwards.

  7. Very beautiful movie romantic marriage life so sweet bahut acche movie aajkal Aise movie Banty Nahin Hai bahut pyari movie Vishwajeet Sar thank u aapka roll bahut Achcha tha madam Mala Sinha aap kabhi Aaj Aise kahaniyan Banty Nahin Hai so beautiful movie handsome Vishwajeet sar bahut pyari movie aapki Sabhi movie Maine Dekhi Hai

  8. What a complete pile of pants this movie is! None of the songs are memorable! The storyline is pathetic with Mala Sinha playing the docile ever subservient wife no matter what injustice or humiliation is hurled in her direction! A good job today's young modern Indian women don't subscribe to such outmoded values! As a Londoner it was interesting to see some familiar sights of a bygone London so clean & traffic free!
