I really love the representation of both latinxs and lgbt communities, it makes me so happy to see myself and relate to this characters, odaat is such a great show full of important messages, i love and enjoy every single bit of it :')
They should have a new show and NOT COPY SHOWS that are already succesfull sory they were not around but I like the ORIGANAL ONE DAY AT A TIME COME UP WITH A NEW TO NAME FOR YOUR SHOW AND STOP STELLING OTHER PEOPLES IDEAS AND WHAT MADE IT A HIT EVEN THE SONG !! I AM SO UN DIS APOINTED THAT THEY RE DID THIS THAT IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS TO THE FANS TO THE ORGANAL Cast and to other people as well !

Fell in love with the show and its characters. Love what it represents. Can't even put words on how I feel seeing Elena. And how the family reacts is everything. Each character has their own reaction, Alex, Lydia, Victor and of course Penelope. I'm telling you, this is everything. Don't know about other people, but this is important to me. #RepresentationMatters
I can relate to Elena's character so much, especially as a pan latinx woman myself, and the fact that my mom wasn't (and still isn't) accepting of my sexuality. It's so refreshing to see a family like this on TV, and I can only hope this show keeps going!!

This truly is one of the most inspirational shows out there. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a lesbian character who’s my age and isn’t sexualized or made a joke because of their sexuality. Also the detail to make Elena and Syd make jokes aimed at the lgbt community (like the wayhaught joke) really makes them relatable.
